The PAL Initiative Foundation is currently funded by its founding team, through direct financial contributions and dedicated full-time work. All employees of PAL are paid from these contributed funds. For now, our primary focus is on building tools that advance our mission, and we are not actively fundraising.
Most features of the PAL app are—and will remain—free. In the future, we may introduce premium services, such as access to premium large language models (for example, OpenAI or Claude) or advanced hardware. Any revenue generated will be reinvested in the Foundation to further our mission, including hiring researchers and engineers and covering server and computing costs.
If the PAL app generates significant revenue, we will publish detailed financial statements on this page on a quarterly basis.
